The Presidents Room

Let's Explore Together

From March to the end of November, the museum is open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Other hours and special tours may be arranged through the museum volunteer staff.

The entrance from the rear parking lot has a ramp on the museum’s main floor. Stairs lead to the basement, second, and third floors; there is no elevator.

This room showcases the United States Presidents who were born in Ohio: Ulysses S. Grant, Rutherford B. Hayes, James A. Garfield, Benjamin Harrison, William McKinley, William H. Taft, and Warren G. Harding. It also features materials and the desk of Steubenville native Edwin McMasters Stanton, who was the Secretary of War under President Abraham Lincoln.
